The Manor of manifestations awaits YOU ! Join the phantom Ghost Hunts team as we travel to Woodbridge in Suffolk to explore Bawdsey Manor . A wealthy member of parliament by the name of Sir William Quilter wanted to have a luxurious eclectic style seaside retreat built and in 1886 his vision was completed . In 1936 with World War 2 looming the Royal Airforce purchased Bawdsey Manor from Sir William Quilter and quickly set up operations . The Manor became a top secret research station housing scientists and military personnel and this is where the first fully operational radar station in the world was built . Robert Watson -Watt developed the chain home radar technology which was crucial in winning World War 2 and especially The Battle Of Britain . During the 1990s the Royal Airforce sold the Manor which is today owned by PGL Travel Limited .
The Hauntings : As you walk along the darkened corridors you may hear footsteps walking behind you, experience the feeling of someone watching you , the feeling of being touched by unseen hands , voices whispering in your ears or maybe see a full apparition , these are the things that caretakers and custodians alike have reported with many refusing to go to certain areas alone .
The nights event will include a paranormal walk around , table tipping , glass divination, Ouija boards and much more including free time to explore with your group .
Light Refreshments of tea, coffee , bottled water and biscuits are available throughout the event but please feel free to bring your own .
No disabled persons due to the nature of the venue but if unsure please contact Phantom Ghost Hunts . No pregnant women due to insurance purposes .
GET A SPOOKIER EXPERIENCE : if you wish to stay at the venue after the event Phantom Ghost Hunts have arranged with Bawdsey Manor to have some bedrooms available for guests . There are only ten rooms available at £15 per head on a first come first served basis and this includes a free cooked breakfast in the morning .
